the Project on non-Newtonian Fluids.

The substance of the project is the mathematical analysis of non-linear partial differential equations that originate from fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. The goal of the project is to develop new mathematical tools towards better understanding of properties of steady and unsteady flows of incompressible non-Newtonian fluids. These materials are of increasing importance in the areas as hemodynamics, biomechanics, glaciology, mechanics of geomaterials, polymer and food industry, etc.
